A lady almost struck me with her vehicle today as I was crossing the street on campus.
I was walking to class and the lady did not seem to understand that she was at a four-way stop and pedestrians — especially on campus — have the right of way. She accelerated forward as I was about to pass in front of her, and I’m pretty sure the only thing that stopped her from completely running me over was when I slammed my hands on the hood of her truck. She then looked at me and mouthed “I didn’t see you.” I kept walking and looked back to see that she had proceeded to almost hit a cyclist and another pedestrian.
All I could think about after that was: “I’m a 6’2”, well-dressed handsome devil. EVERYONE sees me, lady. Everyone.”

I’m putting together a Valentine’s dinner guide for the magazine right now. Called about 10 restaurants, so now I’m just waiting for some returned phone calls. Also waiting on an interview time/date and an album stream of Cursive’s new album. Until then, just reading liner notes and press releases.

I have an opportunity to interview Cursive.
I’ve already come up with a number of questions, but does anyone have something they would be interested to know about the band? Their new album, I Am Gemini will be released via Saddle Creek Records on February 21 and is a great followup to 2009’s Mama, I’m Swollen.
